Our History

Founded in 1999, the Nutraceutical Alliance aims to support the advancement of nutraceutical supplements by providing professional services to companies currently in or expanding into this industry. The Nutraceutical Alliance provides tailored solutions that support nutraceutical product from the initial concept through to delivery, including product development, thorough research, function and safety testing, and training and education.

The President of the Nutraceutical Alliance is Dr. Michael Lindinger, Ph.D., and his extensive background spans the physiology of muscles, the gastrointestinal system, nutrition, nutraceuticals, joint disease, and exercise. Over his illustrious career, his research has encompassed numerous species, ranging from marine mussels to humans.

The Nutraceutical Alliance has successfully collaborated with numerous companies to design nutraceutical supplements, conduct evidence-based research studies, and facilitate the registration and notification of ingredients and products with regulatory agencies.

Our expertise extends to nutraceutical ingredients, nutritional ingredients, nutraceutical supplements, pet food ingredients, and biomedical instruments. We are committed to providing comprehensive support to our clients, helping them unlock the full potential of their nutraceutical endeavours.

Dr. Michael Lindinger, Ph.D.

Dr. Michael Lindinger oversees all company operations and actively engages in project management. With a wealth of expertise as a nutraceutical supplements design and regulatory specialist, Dr. Lindinger holds BSc and MSc degrees in comparative animal physiology and a Ph.D. in medical sciences. 

A member of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce and with 25 years of experience as a professor in the Department of Human Health and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Guelph, Dr. Lindinger brings a wealth of scientific knowledge to the Nutraceutical Alliance.

Throughout his 25-year tenure, Dr. Lindinger’s research spanned human and animal physiology, nutrition, and nutraceuticals, resulting in over 180 peer-reviewed scientific publications.

Dr. Lindinger’s focus over the past decade has centred on developing and utilizing nutraceutical ingredients and supplements for human and companion animal health. Notably, his research teams have contributed evidence-based research to numerous nutraceutical supplements on the market.
